Toilet

Ethan discovered the toilet today. I really thought that he would skip this stage of life, but I guess not. I was getting dressed and Ethan was going back and forth from the bathroom into the bedroom. I wan't really paying close attention until he was standing in the bathroom doorway waving his hands, and that is when I realized they were soaking wet. He had the biggest smile on his face like he had just caught the winning touchdown in football. I asked him what he was doing and he took me to the toilet where I found his red crayon in the bottom of it. Who ever knew that toilets could be so fun :)

Time Out For Women 2008

This past weekend I was able to attend Time Out for Women. This year we went to Las Vegas for the 2 day confrence. I went with Carolee, Kathy, Devanie, and Suzie Stout. We left on Thursday morning and drove to Las Vegas where we were ready for spiritual uplift and fun with the girls. The drive went pretty quickly and we were ready to walk around by the time we arrived. We headed to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner, one of mine and Kathy's favorites. Dinner was wonderful and then we split up to walk the strip and look at all the funny things in Vegas. Kathy and I had a blast taking silly pictures of us doing weird and crazy things, and in Vegas there are so many weird people that we just blended in. We headed back to CPK for desert which was very delicious, but way to rich. We were able to get tickets to LOVE. It is a show that uses all Beatles music. The show was very good, strange at some parts, but that is to be expected because it is done by the same people that do "O"
Friday we attended the first part of the confrence. It was a little boring, but I was hopeful that the evening part would be better and it was. We had a good speaker and great musical presentations by Hilary Weeks, and a band from Nashville that has done a CD about Joseph Smith and the Pioneers. The music was very good and everyone should get the CD's.
Friday night Kathy, Devanie, and I went dancing. We had such a fun time together and I will remember it forever. Thanks for a fun night girls :)
Saturdays confrence was very good we had great speakers that told us about prayer, relationships with family, God, and friends, and many other things that have escaped me now. The music was wonderful and the company was great.
Saturday night we went to the Luxor to open pearls and have a great dinner. Then Kathy and I walked the strip to Ceasars Palace to the Cheese Cake Factory to get yummy desert while Suzie and Devanie checked out the CocaCola and M&M store.
Sunday we headed back to reality. The car ride was ok we listened to music from the confrence and country and mainstream music on XM radio. The last hour I was very ready to be out of the car. Aaron met me in the garage with a big smile and a hug and kiss waiting. My little guy is teething big time and has a crazy awful diaper rash. Poor little guy. All in all the trip was fun and the break from life was very needed. Thanks for a wonderful weekend Girls!!!

Father and Son

Ethan loves his Daddy! Every morning when Aaron is eating breakfast Ethan hurrys into the front room hoping that his Dad will share his Lucky Charms or Fruit loops with him. Then Aaron goes to shower and get ready for work and Ethan is right on his heals, running after him. Ethan loves to bang on the bathroom door while Aaron is showering and tries to convince his dad to let him in, and when Aaron opens the bathroom door he is greeted with a great big "HI"

Ethan gets very sad when his daddy leaves for work so we have to go outside and see him off. Aaron flashes his lights on the Jeep and that makes Ethan feel better about the whole situation. He loves to go and visit his daddy at work and also when we get to meet him for lunch. I also love that aspect of Aaron working close to home. Lunch is my favorite meal and I love to eat with my hubby. When Aaron comes home it is like the party can finally start. When Ethan hears the garage door opening he runs to the door and starts to bang on it. Aaron is greeted with a great big smile, which he totally deserves for working so hard.

Ethan and Max compete for Dad's attention. Ethan always wins! He yells NO! at Max when he is sitting on his Daddy's lap and tries to push him away. It is really funny, but totally sad at the same time.
I have been very blessed to have a husband that loves us so much. Thanks for always taking care of us. Thank you for letting me get away this weekend I know Ethan will totally love all the Daddy time.

Good Night Moon

Ethan loves to "read" books. His favorite is Good Night Moon, By: Margaret Wise Brown. I love reading this book with him. He first discovered the kitty's and says meow everytime they show up on a page. Next he discovered the Red Balloon. Just recently he has discovered the Moon. I am so excited!! What a smart little boy. I think I will try to get him to find the cow next. I love this book and can't wait for more.

Utah State Fair 2008

Today Kathy, Ethan, and I went to the Utah State Fair. I was very excited to spend the day with Kathy and eat delicious fair food. We arrived a little after the park opened and went to see all the exhibits and animals. Ethan liked all the art work and even said "HI" to statues of little boys. It was totally cute. After going to the emergency preparedness area, and watching a little bit of the reptile show we headed to find some food. Kathy is still in boot camp so we got chicken and went to the see the Indian Tiger show. It was so amazing. I told Kak that when I go to heaven I will have Big Kittys like that.

After the show we headed over to see the live stock. We first visited the goats. Ethan loved them. He pet them, said hi and walked around the pens. We also saw pigeons, Huge beautiful cows, and stinky smelly pigs, Yuck.

So I didn't get to eat any deep fried snickers, or funnel cake, but Ethan and I did have a wonderful day with Kathy. We will have to make it a tradition.

Chili's

So I made this really great meal and I thought that I would share it with you all. The other week Aaron and I ate at Chili's resturant. I really don't care for there food for some reason, so after searching the menu for 10 minutes I landed on a Ceaser Pita. It was very good so I decided to try and make it again at home. Here is the receipe:
Greek Pita bread (found in the deli section)
Ceasar salad bag mix
Parmesan cheese
Grilled Chicken breast

Grill Chicken breasts, make up salad, heat pita bread for 30 seconds in microwave. Add cesar salad to pita, slice chicken breast and place on top of salad, sprinkle parmesan cheese on chicken and fold like taco to eat.
We also ate it with cantalope. Aaron really liked it and I hope you all do too.

Chuck-E-Cheese

Last night we went to Chuck-E-Cheese. I was surprised at how much fun I had. Ethan had a great time playing with Kak and riding all the different cars. He kept pointing them out and saying "car." He had fun riding in the cars with his cousins, and eating pizza. Aaron palyed a silly game with his brothers that almost broke their fingers. They had a really great time trying to beat the game, and the kids enjoyed the fruits of their labors (tickets). Thanks to a wonderful night of being with family.

Pandora

What comes to my mind when I hear the name Pandora is the first woman that was made by the Greek Gods. They gave her a box that was never to be opened, but of course she opened it. In the box were all the bad things that can happen to us. BUT THERE IS HOPE.
Josie told me about this really great website. www.pandora.com It is a radio/music site. It is so much fun. You get to type in an artist or song that you like and then it picks songs similar to those that you typed in. It is totally free and I haven't even got any annoying emails either. So if you are having a bad day because of Pandora opening her box, just put on some great music and escape for a little while. Music really lifts my spirits and I hope it does yours too.
