Discovery Museum

We went to the Discovery Museum for Ethan's field trip. We went down with his cousins and his Aunt Devanie. It was nice to all go together. There were so many things to do and explore. The first area was a place with different colored balls and different tubes to put them in. The kids really had a great time in this area.

There was a music station, and a place to draw and learn about how movies are made. Devanie helped Ethan and Zach make a movie. They had a fun time moving their characters and picking the sound for their movie.

The helicopter was fun to see and play in. All of the kids were a little timid to touch the buttons and the control stick because it might "fly away", but we told them that it wasn't working anymore and that it was bolted to the ground.

Ethan and Landon loved playing in the construction area and also with the water. It was so fun to get out and try new things.

We had a great afternoon playing and learning about new things. We ended our afternoon with ice cream cones and then headed home. Ethan was the first to fall asleep and then Landon. We are hopping to return sometime soon.

Playing in the dirt

The weather has been wonderful here lately, and since we have a great big "dirt box" the boys have loved getting outside and playing in the front yard. Landon especially loves to be in the dirt and to play outside.

We were playing outside the other night and it was time to come in and eat a late dinner. While eating all Landon kept saying was "outside" and then he kept pointing at the door. Aaron asked him if he wanted to go outside and he got a huge smile on his face and started shaking his head up and down. Needless to say Aaron and the boys went back outside to play after they were finished eating.

We have started on the sprinkler system and I am hoping to have grass in our yard in the next three weeks. I can't wait!

Having fun

Since we don't have any grass and most of the time the yard has been muddy the boys and I have had to think of some things to do inside. They both have been really great at playing and running around inside. I love to hear them laughing with each other and making up things. I wish I still had an imagination like they do.

Landon loves to paint, play with play-doh, and throw the ball around the house. Ethan loves to play with his friends, action figures, and lego guys. For the most part the boys play great together and I am glad they have so much fun with each other. It is truly a joy to be their Mother.
