Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween Ethan was a Bumble Bee. He was so cute in his costume it was hard not to snuggle him all day. We were able to hang out with Nate and Devanie's family. Their church had fun games and activities planned for the kids and then a trunk or treat to follow.

Ethan and I both enjoyed eating delicious donuts :)

Ethan made a ghost out of a sucker and tissue paper. He immediately wanted to eat the sucker, which is his most favorite candy.

Ethan also had the opportunity to golf for candy. He needed to get the ball on the 10, which he did. Maybe we have a little Tiger Woods on our hands. I guess I should think about golf next summer instead of baseball. Either way his Grandpa Nelson would be thrilled.
We headed to the next room for a cake walk and instead were welcomed by the fire alarm. This was probably one of the best parts for Ethan and Zach. They were very excited to see the fire truck and all Ethan wanted to do was climb the ladder.

After the excitement of the fire truck we went around to all the cars to trunk or treated. Ethan knew exactly what to say and was super cute to listen to. It ended up being a very nice day and Ethan was to hot in his costume so we took him out of his bumble bee and went around in his regular clothes. I was a little sad/embarrassed, but he is still so little that I thought it was OK.

Ethan loved going in and out of Nate and Devanie's haunted house. It was such a cute idea.
Nate and Devanie, thanks for letting us come and celebrate Halloween with you and your family. We had such and fun time. I am glad that Ethan loves his cousins so much and how sweet they are to him.

1st Dental Visit

Today Ethan went and saw the Dentist. He did GREAT! He let the hygienist take x-rays (pictures) of his teeth, and he even got them cleaned (polished). He just layed in the chair and watched Disney's Toy Story on the ceiling. He was very excited to pick out his own toothbrush, flosser and toy when he was finished. I am so happy that it was a fun experience for him. We will be returning in 6 months to do it again.

33 Weeks and Counting

This will be my 33rd week of pregnancy, and I am ready to be finished. I am starting to have problems sleeping, and breathing at night. Most of my clothes don't fit anymore, and sometimes I wonder if the people that design maternity clothes have ever been pregnant, because my stomach hangs out of most of the shirts that I own. Good thing my husband doesn't mind that I wear all his t-shirts and athletic pants. I am always hungry, but most things don't sound very appetizing. I can't bend over and tying my shoes is pretty much out the window. All in all this pregnancy has been non eventful, which is nice. I had an appointment last week with my Doctor and she said that everything looked good. Baby Landon is about 4+ lbs, which means I will probably have another 8/9 pound baby. I guess I was made to have big babies. Ethan understands that baby Landon is in my belly, and prays for him every night. He is going to be such a good big brother. We are very excited to have another boy in our home and I am praying that the delivery goes well. I have to say that I am slightly more nervous about the delivery and not sleeping aspect of having another child, but it will be a small price to pay to have another miracle in our home.

Thumbs up from our little man

Milestones

Ethan has been in his Big Boy bed for about 3 weeks now and is doing fabulous. I waited so long to move him over from his crib because I thought that he would always be trying to get out, but it is just the opposite. Ethan does great in his car bed. He has only fallen out once which was sad but pretty hilarious at the same time.
Ethan even helped his daddy move the crib bed up in anticipation of our new arrival. He was so excited to help Daddy that he got most of his tools out and started working on the crib too. It was very cute to see them working together.
Ethan is starting to climb everything on the play ground. It is fun to see him growing up that way. We go to the playground with Ethan's friend Coulson on the days that I don't have to work.
The boys love to swing on the bars above the slides and then slide down. It is fun to watch them be silly.

Ethan is also potty training. The first week was awful, but he is doing great now. I would have to say that potty training is not always the most convenient thing especially when the park locks the bathrooms and when we run lots of errands on my days off, but given those things he is kicking booty, and it will be nice to only have one baby in diapers.
We have also started to teach Ethan to say his personal prayers. It is so hilarious that it is hard not to laugh while he does it. He loves to bless everyone and everything, and when we finally get him to say amen, he asks to do it again. Hopefully his enthusiasm will continue through his whole life :)

Let the Season Begin

The Football season has begun and we are so happy that it is finally here. Aaron and I are playing fantasy football again and I am hoping to do well this season.

Aaron's Birthday was today. We gave him a new Broncos Jersey, had barbeque chicken tortillas, watched part of the Broncos vs. Bengals football game, watched Iron Man, and ate icecream cake. All in all I think he had a great birthday. Ethan loved celebrating with his daddy. Instead of saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Ethan says HAPPY DAY!! He gets so excited to say it that all day I would tell Aaron Happy Birthday just to hear Ethan say Happy Day.
Aaron wore his new jersey to his early meetings this morning. Everyone thought it was pretty hillarious.
Aaron was nice enough to let Ethan blow out his candles three times. Thanks Daddy.
Happy Birthday Aaron. We loved sharing your special day with you and hope to have many more.

Missing You!

My wonderful husband has been gone this week. He has been hiking the Grand Canyon with my Dad, and won't return until late Saturday night. The first couple of days were ok, but last night was not a good night. Usually when Aaron is out of town I can call him a million times during the day, but there is no cell phone service where he is so we haven't been able to talk all week. I have missed him very much. I know this is strange, but I felt last night like my heart was hurting. I guess sometimes you never know how much you really love someone until you can't see/speak to them anymore. So needless to say Ethan and I are very very excited to see him.

While Aaron has been gone Ethan and I have been keeping ourselves entertained. We have been going to parks, and playing with Coulson (Ethan's friend). We also went to see Lizzy today. Before Aaron left he introduced Ethan to the movie Star Wars, so this morning Ethan insisted on watching it. He was totally zoned out that I had to take a picture. Ethan is truely a mini Aaron, even though his daddy doesn't agree.

Pineview Reservoir

Today we went up to Pineview Reservoir to enjoy the cooler weather and play in the water. It was such a beautiful drive through the canyon, and the weather was perfect so we rolled our windows down and enjoyed the fresh air. Ethan was so excited to play in the water, and Max was pretty excited too.

The view was so beautiful, and Ethan loved splashing around in the water.

As we were playing on the shore Max decided to venture out into the water, but he didn't realize that it dropped off so quickly. I am glad that he figured it out instead of Ethan.

Happy Family!!!

Ethan was totally muddy when we left, so we stripped him down and headed home.
