Oh Christmas Tree!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, Oh How we Love thy Branches.

The ghetto tree returned this year for its final viewing. Honestly, it has been a really good tree to us. It was a great price, a perfect size for storing, and super simple to put together.

Ethan was such a big help this year as we decorated our little tree. He even helped his Daddy put the lights on the tree and the banister.

We will miss our little tree, but hopefully next year we will have some fun memories finding a new one.

Temple Square Lights

This year we decided to go to Salt Lake and see the lights at Temple Square. The boys have never seen the lights and it has been many years since Aaron or I have been there. We picked Aaron up from work last Tuesday and went over to the Temple. It was a little difficult to find a parking spot but we eventually found one. It was a perfect night to go, there were hardly any people so we were able to get close up to the manger seen and all the fountains which Ethan loved. The weather was perfect though. It was slightly cool because a storm was supposed to come in that night, but it was warm enough that Aaron didn't wear a coat.
The lights were truly beautiful and it was just what we needed to put us in the "real" Christmas spirit.

Happy 29th

I had another great Birthday this year. It all started with going to dinner with my sweet husband, and two boys on Saturday. I love being with my family and making memories together. Then on Sunday Ethan and Aaron made me a birthday cake. It was very delicious.

I had to laugh at Ethan while we were eating my birthday cake. I am not a big fan of frosting, but Aaron loves it and so does his Dad. I took the top layer of frosting off of my piece and put it by the side of my plate. Ethan asked what it was and I told him it was frosting, he looked at me and asked if he could have it. I looked at Aaron, smiled and then gave the frosting to Ethan. He is just like his Dad. I love that minnie Aaron.

I sure hope the last year of my 20's will be a wonderful year. Thanks to all the family and friends that called, wrote, and sang to me on my Birthday. I am truly blessed to know such wonderful people.

Landon is 1

Wow this year sure has gone by in a flash. I still can't believe that my little Landon is one. He has been such a blessing in our lives.

Landon is now 30.5 inches long (75%), 19.4 pounds (5%), and has a head circumference of 46 centimeters (45%). He is becoming such a big boy.

Landon loves cereal. He is always looking for someone to share with him, or have a bowl of his own. He is a little more pickier with food then his brother, but is learning to like more foods as he gets older. He does love cottage cheese though:)

Landon's favorite toy is any type of ball. He is so cute with them. He throws them and chases them, throws them and chases them, over and over again. He also loves to play with his brother and Daddy, well mostly he just tries to chew on all the toys. He is a very fast crawler, and pulls himself up on the furniture and cruises around the house.

He loves listening to music with his Daddy and dancing/bouncing to the beat. He loves to smile and laugh and I just love to hear his little voice.

We are so excited to see all of the things he will accomplish in the years to come.

Thanksgiving 2010

This year for Thanksgiving we were blessed to spend it with my family in Phoenix. We headed down early to avoid the snow storms, and we arrived Sunday at about 2:00am. I was so excited to spend a couple more days with my parents, sisters, and grandparents.

There were 22 people this year for Thanksgiving dinner and more than enough food for everyone. Ethan had a great time eating by his Daddy, and his Uncle Abu. I am not really sure if he even ate any food, but I know he had a wonderful time.

Ethan loved the pumpkin cheese cake and Josie won the award for most pieces of pie eaten. Can you believe such a little girl ate 5 pieces:)

Ethan was so exhausted by the end of the day that he zonked out on the couch. He was such a good boy all day long and did great even without a nap.

Landon loved eating pie with his Daddy.

This Thanksgiving was so much fun. We have so much to be thankful for, but most of all I am thankful for my eternal family which I love dearly.

Family Home Evening

We have been trying to have Family Home Evening this month. We invited the Snow's to come and play with us, enjoy a good meal, have a lesson, and then a wonderful dessert.

Corene is a wonderful cook and I was trying to make banana cream pie for the first time so I called her up and asked if she, and her family, would come over and help me.
We had a great meal of Lasagna, green beans, and salad. I gave a lesson about sharing and the kids had a really good time. Then we partook of the banana cream pie, and I would have to say that it was delicious.

Ryder kept having to move around the table so Landon wouldn't get his pie.

It was such a fun night, and I hope to do it again soon.
Corene thanks so much for helping me with the pie it was so good.

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year. We invited some of Aaron's family to come up to eat and go Trick-o-Treating with us. Ethan was so excited to see his cousins that he only ate one bite of his pizza, and just laughed at his cousins until it was time to leave.

It was a rainy night, but that didn't stop us. We went through the neighborhood with the Stouts, Reads, and Dawsons. It was fun to see all the kids together and they all looked so cute.

Landon loves to be outside and even though it was raining on us he had a great time. We bundled him up, with warm clothes and hat, so he was not able to be a cowboy, but I know next year he will be keeping up with his brother.

It was a great night and my Buzz lightyear had a really fun time. He is still wearing the wings of his costume, so cute.
We hope you all had a great Halloween night too.

Organize

Ethan has many toys and I have tried multiple ways to keep them somewhat organized, but lately I have felt like we needed a better system, so I have invested in this.

So far Ethan has been really great at putting his toys in the right bins. I think I will help him by labeling them with words and pictures. I know that the excitement will probably wear off about how "fun" it is to put away your toys, but I sure hope it doesn't.

Buzz Lightyear to Preschool

Today was wear your costume to school day. Ethan was so excited to wear his Buzz Lighyear costume and to show all of his friends.

Ethan looked so cute in his costume and many of the little kids were so excited to see a Buzz Lightyear. One little boy kept touching the wings and belt of Ethan's costume and saying how cool they were. If you know Ethan this makes him very uncomfortable and he immediately froze and kept giving me a worried look. So I distracted them by taking a picture.

All the kids were so cute and I can't wait to see all the neighborhood kids in their costumes this weekend.

Ethan with his best friend Cole. They are so cute together.
Sorry Ethan is always looking away in these pictures, but he was a little distracted by all the things going on around him.

Pumpkin Man

Ethan's second field trip was to the Pumpkin Man. I was not able to go with him, but he had a great time with his friend Cole and his Mom. Ethan was able to get a pumpkin and he was very excited to show his Mommy and Daddy when we returned home from work.

It has been fun to see him learning about letters, colors, shapes, and numbers while also having a great time in school.

He is growing up so fast, boy time sure does fly when you're having fun.

Sick Boys

Ethan and Landon have both had the flu this weekend, and boy it has not been fun. It all started last night when we were heading home from Salt Lake and Ethan threw up in the car four times. Thank goodness Wendy was with me to help catch the chunks.

Even though Ethan was so sick he kept thanking me for washing his blankie, he is so sweet, I love that kid.

We had to take a couple of baths also, but the boys seemed to really enjoy this part.

We were up all night and I think I got only about an hour and a half of sleep. I was so exhausted that I had a little melt down this morning while adding my 4th load of laundry to the washing machine. The boys are doing a lot better now, and so am I. It is amazing what a shower can do for you.

I am glad that I don't have to work until Tuesday, and that Aaron will be back tomorrow too. I knew something bad would happen when he was gone, it always does. Come home soon my love.
