Road Trip 2011

We took a road trip to Phoenix to visit Grandma, Grandpa, Josie, Abu, and Lizzy. The boys did so well. We decided to leave late in the afternoon again so the boys would sleep most of the way. We stopped at a play place about 4 hours into the drive so the kids could run around for a little bit and then it was back in the car for the last leg of the trip. Aaron was wonderful and drove the second half of the trip. The kids were very excited to arrive in Phoenix and so was I. It was a good start to a wonderful trip.

4yr old Well Child Visit

Height: 38 inches 10%
Weight: 33.4lbs 40%

Is he a Stout or what!
Ethan's well child visit went very well. I am still having a hard time believing he is 4 already. Ethan is truly a joy to have around. He loves being 4 and tells everyone he meets how old he is. He loves to make up and tell stories. This is something that we do while we are eating dinner. He loves to ride his bike, and play with his friends. Most of his friends are already in kindergarten, but they all seem to get along just fine. He loves his Daddy very much and the first thing he usually says to me in the morning is "Where is Dad?" It is so cute the special bond they have. Ethan still takes an afternoon nap for us, which I am so grateful for. I think this part he gets from him mother. I love to take naps and could take one every day if I had the chance. Ethan's favorite food is still cottage cheese. Which I love because it is easy to take places and good for him. His favorite thing to drink is chocolate milk. We have to limit the amount of drinks he gets because he would rather drink then eat.
Ethan is a great big brother. Most of the time he loves having Landon around. He is always willing to push him on the little scoot cars, and to play together with his toys until Landon starts to destroy things. Which is when I hear him call "Mom, can you come and get Landon he is messing things up." He has also discovered girls and always tells me how pretty they are and wants to know their names. He is so much like his Daddy it is funny.
Ethan has the greatest smile. It is very addictive and makes you just want to pick him up and give him an big hug. We love our Little/Big 4 year old.
