Camping

This August we went camping at Palisades State park.  We only stayed over one night, but it was fun spending time with family and playing in the lake.
Aaron bought some rafts for us to use and the kids had fun rowing and being pulled by others.

Once the kids finally went to bed they slept pretty well.  Landon was even the last one up, which is a miracle because he is always the earliest to rise.
Lily loved chilling by her Daddy, on Mommy's slippery sleeping bag.

We also dug in the dirt with sticks. The kids had a good time, but everyone was very tired by the time we headed home.  Hopefully we will be able to go again next year and have some more fun with Aaron's family

Smile

Lily is starting to smile all the time now.  I love saying Hi to her and having a big grin grow on her face.  It is just enough to melt my heart.  She has also discovered her hand.  She stares at it and then tries to put it in her mouth.  It usually ends up between her eyes and then moves down to her mouth.  It is so cute.  We sure are in love with our little baby girl.

Canas Family

This summer we had a visit from Aaron's sister, Melanie, and her family.  It was so fun to have them stay with us for a couple of days.  Isabell was so cute with Lily and she loved holding and talking to her.
Ethan and Landon had such a fun time playing with their cousins.  They loved playing in the backyard and also playing a little minecraft.
We wish that they loved closer to us and that we could see them all the time.  Maybe next summer we will go to Connecticut and visit them.

Broken Swing

Once Lily arrived at home we hooked up the swing that we had purchased when Ethan was a baby.  I was excited to have it knowing that this is sometimes the only way I can have some time to get things done.  Little did we know that this cute little swing that rocked my two beautiful boys was no longer working.  Landon sure did have a fun time swinging on it though.
During one evening of continuous crying, while Aaron was holding Lily, he decided that we needed a swing and went looking for the best one.  Aaron bought us a Mama Roo and Thank Goodness he did!

Lily, 2 Months

Wow I can't believe Lily is already 2 months old.  The time has just flown by and we are really starting to see her personality more and more.
Lily has become a pretty good sleeper.  She is almost sleeping through the night just getting up once between 5 and 6am and then going back down for a few more hours.  She is awake in between naps for about an hour.  During that hour she loves to be on the floor kicking her legs and looking up at the fan.
Lily loves to give big smiles and "talk" to anyone who is holding her.  She is putting weight on her legs and loves to stand with them.  Lily also loves to hold her head up to look around at things.  She is in love with her brothers and every time they are near she is looking at them and smiling.

Lily's stats
Weight: 10.6 lbs  30%
Height: 23 inches  75%
Head Circ.: 15 inches 25%

Visit with Great Grandpa and Grandma Gowers

While Lizzy was here from Boston we decided that we need to head down to Nephi to visit Grandpa and Grandma Gowers.  It was such a fun afternoon, as two people in their mid nineties can be.
Kathy, Dan and their new baby girl Aeowyn met us there and our Aunt Marion was also there to eat lunch with us and visit.  It was fun catching up on all the things that we have been doing and for them to get to meet Lily.
I love my Grandparents very much. They have always been there for me and it has meant so much to me.  I know they wanted to be able to come up for Lily's blessing, but because of health reasons they couldn't, so I am glad we were able to come and see them.  I am also very blessed that my kids have been able to get to know them.
