Mac-N-Cheese

Today for lunch we decided to go for the old standard of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. I gave Ethan a few apple slices to hold him off until the 8 minutes of cooking were up. I gave myself a bowl then gave ethan a bowl and left enough for Aaron. Ethan was truely hillarious eating it. I seriously think that he was starving. His appitite has returned and he was loving his lunch. He would grab the mac-n-cheese with both hands and shove both fists in his mouth. When he was finished with his I gave him the rest of mine. Then he started on Aarons' portion. He finally got tired of shoveling it into his own mouth and decided to just opened it up like a little bird and let me put the mac-n-cheese in his mouth for him. When he had finished off the rest we cleaned up and started to play. He got into the diaper bag and grabed his bag of Kiks cereal, brought them over to me and started eating. I guess he was still hungary. Well what 1 year old wouldn't be after eating 3/4 of a box of macaroni and cheese and a few apple slices?
Sorry Aaron you will have to eat somthing else for lunch. I am very glad that he is able to eat good food again. This kid cracks me up!!! Here's to good eating.

Big Boy Chair

Two weeks ago Ethan finally reached 20lbs. YEA!!!! So we headed to Babies R Us and scoped out all the Big Boy chairs. We picked this one above. It fits little kids 20-40lbs with the harness and then 40-60lbs with just a regular belt and then after that it just turns into a booster for up to 100lbs. Hopefully it will last us this long. Ethan was very excited to look at us as we drove around that weeked.
Litttle did we know that Ethan would become very sick 2 days after getting his Big Boy chair. He is now 19 lbs. That may not seem like a big difference, but now he has to go back to the little boy chair. Sorry little man. Have fun looking at the back seat, and we will try to fatten you up so you can truely be a Big Boy again.

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July Ethan was able to participate a little more than last year. Lizzy came up from Provo and spent the weekend with us. It was so nice to have her around.

North Ogden has there Cherry Days on the 4th so we headed to the Adam's house for breakfast and a parade. Breakfast was delicious. Pancakes, ham, eggs, fruit, and juice. Ethan loves fruit. He is just like his daddy. Watermelon is his favorite. The parade started at 10am so we headed to the front yard to get a good spot, laid out our blanket and waited. I thought it was silly that all the kids had grocery sacks with them, but by the time the parade had ended I realized why. Most of their sacks were half full with candy and they were all very pleased with themselves. Halloween in July. We saw lots of fun cars and floats. Ethan loved to wave at the cars and clap for the bands and music. It was a fun morning, and the day was just beginning.

After the parade we headed back home to get ready for a Barbeque and games. I know that the little Stout kids love to play with their Dads and Uncles so I thought that having games to play would give us all an opportunity to be together and also for the kids to be entertained. We had hamburgers and hotdogs and all the good sides too. We played a relay game, a bubble gum game, and water balloon volleyball, which ended to a water fight. Always needed on the 4th. Planning everything was a little stressful, but looking back I am glad I did it. Everyone had a good time and it is nice to see family on the holidays.

After the balloon fight we hung out until it got dark enough for the fire works. They were beautiful! Ethan was scared at first, but Grandma Stout talked him through it and we let him know it was ok. After about the fourth firework he liked seeing them. On a side note next year bring bug spray. We got eaten alive. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July just like us.

Showers

I love to take showers. I get to be alone and think about the things I have to do during the day. There is also something about that clean, fresh smell you have when you are done.
Since having Ethan things have been slightly different. We have a bouncer that my Cousin Scott let us have when Ethan was born. (I recommend this to everyone it is a life saver) I stick Ethan in it and give him a bottle giving me time to jump in the shower and clean off the spit up and food that is in my hair. Lately though he has become very smart. He has now figured out that he can get out of his chair and play in the bathroom. I was showering one morning and I started to hear things being moved on the floor, so I flew open the shower curtin to discover my little boy smiling up at me "HI". I looked at him and then the chair and smiled. "How did you get out of their?" Another innocent look and laugh. So every morning while I am taking a shower he tries to squirm his way out of the chair and some times he ends up like this(above). Silly baby. At least I know there are two guys in this world that will love to look at my pizza dough belly in the shower.

Milford Beach

In May we headed out to Connecticut to visit Aaron's family, and to attend a wedding. We stayed with Aaron's oldest sister Chris, and her family. It was very fun and they took us where ever we wanted to go. Since we don't live by the beach I knew we would need to go. Aaron was doing wedding stuff the whole time so Ethan and I headed out on an aventure of discovering new smells and textures. The water was still very cold and Ethan wasn't very sure about that but when he was able to sit down and play in the sand he loved it. Ethan loves to put things in his mouth, which most babies his age do. As you can see from the picture above he picked up a rock and instantlly tried to put it in his mouth. I kept trying to move it away and he wasn't to happy with me, but it all worked out in the end. We walked the beach together looking at sail boats and kites and other things around us. We had a wonderful time at the beach. Maybe next time Daddy can enjoy it with us too.

Gloria

This is Gloria. Ok not really, it is our beautiful baby boy Ethan. I guess Ethan got his clothes all dirty at Wendy's and he didn't have anything to wear. Wendy decided to put him in some clothes of the other little girl that she sits. I thought it was so funny that I had to snap a picture. Hopefully you all get a little laugh out of it too.
