Preschool Halloween Party

Landon started preschool this year and needless to say it has been a little difficult.  His teacher asked if I would be willing to help with his class party.  I was delighted to offer my assistance and see Landon with his friends from school.
The kids were so cute all dressed up.  They made a Frankenstein out of rice crispy treats, frosting, and chocolate chips.  It was also fun to see them do a little parade for the parents.
After the parade and the kids trick-o-treating they recited the poem they learned for the month of October.  It goes like this:
I'm a mean old witch with a hat,
and I ride on my broom with my cat,
my chin is pointy and my shoes and too
you better watch our or I might scare you.
BOO!
I am really loving all the things Landon is learning and doing in his preschool.  Even though it is hard for him to go sometimes I know it has been really good for him.

Pumpkin Carving Party

This year we had our first pumpkin carving party.  Kathy and I decided to get the family together and have some Halloween fun.

We had a donut eating contest.  The kids did such a good job keeping their hands behind their backs while trying to eat a donut off of a string.  All of the kids dressed up and we super cute/scary.

Everyone made delicious soups and breads to eat.  We also had Halloween cookies and pudding.  It was a fun afternoon.  I hope we can do it again next year.

Kathy was so nice to take pictures of all the kids in their Halloween costumes.  Ethan and Landon were both Ninjas and Lily was Tinker Bell.  I am so in love with these little ones.

My Big Helper

Ethan has been such a big help with Lily.  He loves to be with his little sister and she thinks it is pretty great to be with him too.  She has become a great eater, with her bottle, and lets everyone feed her and not just Mommy.  I sure am one lucky mom to have these two in my life.

My Little Helper

We planted a garden this year.  I had great intentions to use all the delicious veggies that it produced, but then reality set in.  While taking care of a new baby and wanting to spend most of my free time playing with the boys the garden was neglected to say the least.
Most of the garden was over grown or dead, but our little carrots, potatoes, and beans survived.  While Aaron, and I pulled out the garden Landon picked our carrots, potatoes, and green beans.  He was so excited about the carrots that he had to eat one right away.  Landon also loved picking the flowers in front of our house so that he could give them to me.  He is so sweet and such a big help to me and Aaron.  We sure are lucky to have him in our family.

Landon loved his carrot and it was so much fun having them for dinner that evening.  I think next year we will only plant a little garden and hopefully I will be able to get out there more often.

Our Little Burritos

Every now and then the boys ask Aaron wrap them into burritos with their blankets.
It is so much fun to to hear them laughing with each other and their daddy.
We couldn't leave Lily out so we wrapped her up and laid her in between her brothers.  They had a great time together watching their show right before bed.  I sure love my babies.
