Happy Birthday Ethan

This year for Ethan's 4th Birthday we decided on a Batman party because he loves Batman. There were some really great ideas out there on the web so I decided that instead of re-inventing the wheel I would use some of the great ideas that I read about. We started out the party with decorating their Batman capes with stars and letters. All superheros need to look good. We also had all the kids get a Batman symbol painted on their face. They all looked so cute. Next we headed outside for an obstacle course which Aaron put together. All our superheros needed to learn to be quick on there feet and be aware of their surroundings because you never know when someone would try to attack you. The kids were really fast and had a fun time racing through the course. After going through the obstacle course the kids needed to be able to fight evil villains. I put evil villain pictures on black balloons and put them on the lawn then all the kids got silly string and attacked those evil villains. The silly string wasn't fun to clean up, but it was totally worth it.
Superheroes also have to have supper strength so all the kids had to lift 200lbs dumbbells, they were all so strong!

After attacking evil villains the kids had to use their minds to guess how many candies were in a jar. We also had one for the adults too. One of Ethan's friends from preschool was the closest and his Uncle Nathan won the one for the adults.

After all the activities we went inside for presents, cake and ice cream. The cake was yummy and the kids were great to eat it outside on the lawn.

Thanks for everyone who was able to come and support Ethan on his special day. Also thanks for all the extra help with watching kids and helping dish up the dessert.
My camera broke the day of the party, so I am still collecting all the photos, I will add more as I get them:)
