This year for the 4th of July Ethan was able to participate a little more than last year. Lizzy came up from Provo and spent the weekend with us. It was so nice to have her around.
North Ogden has there Cherry Days on the 4th so we headed to the Adam's house for breakfast and a parade. Breakfast was delicious. Pancakes, ham, eggs, fruit, and juice. Ethan loves fruit. He is just like his daddy. Watermelon is his favorite. The parade started at 10am so we headed to the front yard to get a good spot, laid out our blanket and waited. I thought it was silly that all the kids had grocery sacks with them, but by the time the parade had ended I realized why. Most of their sacks were half full with candy and they were all very pleased with themselves. Halloween in July. We saw lots of fun cars and floats. Ethan loved to wave at the cars and clap for the bands and music. It was a fun morning, and the day was just beginning.
After the parade we headed back home to get ready for a Barbeque and games. I know that the little Stout kids love to play with their Dads and Uncles so I thought that having games to play would give us all an opportunity to be together and also for the kids to be entertained. We had hamburgers and hotdogs and all the good sides too. We played a relay game, a bubble gum game, and water balloon volleyball, which ended to a water fight. Always needed on the 4th. Planning everything was a little stressful, but looking back I am glad I did it. Everyone had a good time and it is nice to see family on the holidays.

After the balloon fight we hung out until it got dark enough for the fire works. They were beautiful! Ethan was scared at first, but Grandma Stout talked him through it and we let him know it was ok. After about the fourth firework he liked seeing them. On a side note next year bring bug spray. We got eaten alive. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July just like us.

Way to go, Alice! I know it can be intimidating and overwhelming hosting big family get together's! But it looked like everyone had tons of FUN :) Give Ethan a hug for me, because he is so cute in his Fourth of July outfit!
